AHMEDABAD, India / RankWire.AI / — Over 500 officials from government bodies, institutional investors, and global business leaders gathered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, for the fifth iteration of the Investopia Dialogues dedicated to India, aiming to promote international capital flow into high-growth sectors. The event’s purpose was to convert the expanding economic relationship between the UAE and India into concrete joint ventures and private-sector investment agreements, especially in light of the bilateral investment treaty recently enacted between the two countries. Organizers emphasized that this platform acts as a crucial catalyst for accelerating cross-border investments in strategic industries such as artificial intelligence, sustainable manufacturing, and food security.

The summit united significant public and private sector stakeholders to explore opportunities in logistics, food security, advanced manufacturing, financial services, tourism, and artificial intelligence. UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri engaged in discussions with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel during the forum. The leaders examined prospects for enhancing cooperation between Emirati companies and regional industrial hubs located in Gujarat. Bin Touq highlighted that Ahmedabad’s selection highlights the state’s prominence as a leading center for industry and economic development.

Abdulrahman Mohammed Alhawi, who is Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment and President of Investopia, pointed out that over 70 percent of the total investment inflows from Gulf Cooperation Council countries into India originate from the UAE. He also noted that nearly 4,000 new Indian firms joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first quarter of 2026, emphasizing that the Ahmedabad-based Investopia Dialogues serve as a strategic milestone that enables Indian enterprises to tap into broader global markets via UAE’s financial hubs.

Boosting Investment Flows Along Emerging Industrial Pathways

The tangible business impact of the conference was demonstrated by notable corporate announcements from regional business leaders; among these, LuLu Group revealed plans for a 4,000 crore Indian rupee investment project in Ahmedabad, with Chairman Yusuff Ali M.A. disclosing a development spanning 21 acres, including a shopping mall, a five-star hotel, and serviced apartments. The project is anticipated to generate over 15,000 jobs, and the group is also launching a food park and a fish-processing facility.

Delegates from Marjan Developers highlighted the increasing involvement of Indian investors in real estate and hospitality sectors. Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Saqr bin Omar Al Qasimi emphasized that Indian capital significantly contributes to transforming Ras Al Khaimah into an international destination. Simultaneously, representatives from agribusiness firm Silal Group, including CEO Dhafer Al Qasimi, participated in sector-specific roundtables to assess advancements in agriculture technology, cold chain infrastructure, and overall supply chain resilience.

Strengthening Private Sector Collaborations and Technology Adoption

Panel discussions focused on the strategic roles of sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and private equity in financing large infrastructure projects, with participants exploring ways to streamline regulations to facilitate capital flow into high-yield industries. A key point of discussion was the transfer of technology, especially in building digital infrastructure and boosting artificial intelligence deployment across manufacturing sectors, aimed at increasing overall competitiveness of both economies in knowledge-based industries. These sessions aimed to enhance the global competitiveness of the UAE and India by fostering innovation and technological integration.

The summit concluded with several bilateral meetings intended to formalize institutional agreements among participating organizations, with organizers affirming that the platform will persist in hosting international dialogues in key markets to align private investments with long-term macroeconomic goals. Through a focus on trade infrastructure, industrial technology, and joint ventures, the Investopia Dialogues initiative continues to create predictable investment channels that support global economic growth.
