This new route will link Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, operating five times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The addition of these flights marks a new direct UAE connection for northern Poland and broadens Air Arabia’s scheduled network within the country. On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and reaches Gdansk by 8 p.m., while the return flight, G9 0629, departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and arrives in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the next day. For flights scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departures from Sharjah are at 8:15 a.m., with return flights leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All listed times are local.
Once operational, Gdansk will be Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, complementing its existing services to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport. Additionally, Air Arabia plans to start four weekly flights to Katowice from December 17, 2026, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. With these new routes, the airline extends its direct flight network across Poland beyond the two cities it currently serves.
Gdansk joins expanding Polish route network
The Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European network from Sharjah, which includes destinations such as Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced plans to add Frankfurt and Katowice to this network. Gdansk provides a new destination on Poland’s Baltic coast and offers travelers in the Pomeranian region a direct scheduled route to the UAE via Sharjah.

The airport is recognized as a transfer hub for flights to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa, serving the broader Tri-City region that includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other northern Polish communities.
Five weekly flights connect Sharjah and Gdansk
Air Arabia utilizes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft for its route network, with bookings now open via its website, call center, and travel agents. The schedule designates G9 0628 and G9 0629 for flights on Mondays and Saturdays, while flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly flights will offer nonstop services both ways between the two airports.
The planned launch on December 14 will come just three days before Air Arabia’s scheduled Katowice route begins, further expanding its Polish presence. With existing connections to Krakow and Warsaw, these additions will bring the airline’s Polish network to four cities. Under the current timetable, passengers from Gdansk will be able to choose from five nonstop flights each week in both directions.
